Job Introduction

Business Support Administrator

Hybrid | Full-time | Permanent | Salary 30,000-32,000

At Tigers Childcare, we don't just hire for roles - we hire for impact. Whether you work directly with children, support behind the scenes, or lead teams across services, your work helps shape a nurturing environment where children - and colleagues - can thrive.

We're looking for an organised, adaptable and service-focused Business Support Administrator to join our Business Support Team. If you enjoy keeping things running smoothly, improving how things work and supporting colleagues across a busy organisation, this could be your next chapter.

Why We Do What We Do

Tigers Childcare creates exceptional environments where children thrive through play, exploration and meaningful relationships. With 36 centres and growing, we’re one of Ireland’s leading childcare providers – committed to quality, inclusion and continuous improvement.

The same values that guide how we support children – curiosity, care, consistency and high expectations – shape how we support our teams. At Tigers, we invest in your development, prioritise wellbeing, and make sure everyone feels they belong.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As Business Support Administrator, you'll provide high-quality administrative and operational support that helps our teams and services work effectively. You'll:

  • Keep day-to-day administration running smoothly, including correspondence, records, documentation, purchase orders and supplier coordination.
  • Support the effective administration of our internal systems, helping colleagues use them confidently and ensuring information is accurate and well maintained.
  • Coordinate office and IT requirements, working with colleagues and external providers to ensure equipment, access and resources are in place.
  • Provide administrative support for regulatory and insurance-related processes, maintaining accurate records and monitoring key deadlines
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new services, helping ensure systems, documentation and administrative processes are set up effectively
  • Coordinate meetings, training sessions, workshops and events, and provide administrative support to the Executive Management Team where required.
  • Help improve administrative processes and ways of working across the Business Support Team and wider organisation.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Must-Haves

  • Previous experience in an administrative, office coordination or business support role.
  • Experience working with electronic systems, records and document management.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a consistent approach to administration and record keeping.
  • Strong digital skills and the confidence to learn and work with new systems.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • A collaborative, service-focused approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across an organisation.
  • The ability to work independently, use initiative and know when to escalate an issue.

Nice-to-Haves

  • A relevant qualification in business administration, office administration or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a multi-site organisation, particularly within childcare, education, healthcare or another regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting IT coordination, systems administration, regulatory administration or the onboarding of new services.
  • Experience developing user guides, training materials or helping colleagues adopt new systems and processes.
  • An interest in improving administrative processes and finding more efficient ways of working.
