Dublin | Part-time | Permanent | €30,000-€35,000
Role Summary
The Funding & Compliance Administrator is responsible for delivering accurate and efficient administrative support across all funding and compliance-related activities within Tigers Childcare. This includes maintaining and updating relevant portals (e.g. Early Years Hive), ensuring the integrity and completeness of documentation, and supporting managers to meet compliance requirements and funding deadlines. The postholder plays a key role in ensuring services remain compliant and fully funded in line with sectoral and regulatory expectations.
Duties/Responsibilities
Funding & Compliance Administration
- Maintain accurate calendars and trackers for all Early Years, School-Age, and related funding schemes.
- Ensure parent agreements and fee letters for all schemes are correct and updated as required.
- Maintain and update service profiles & applications across all funding streams.
- Monitor the Early Years Hive and other systems for notifications; communicate and escalate updates as necessary.
- Support Centre Managers in understanding funding scheme requirements and preparing for Pobal compliance inspections.
- Act as a first point of contact for queries relating to funding and compliance issues.
- Act as a first point of contact for queries relating to AIM funding applications.
- Attend training sessions on funding schemes and proactively cascade updates to managers.
- Ensure all administrative work is completed accurately, on time, and to the required high standard.
Funding Applications & Reporting
- Assist the Finance team with Funding Increase Applications (FIA), ensuring accurate documentation is submitted on time.
- Complete the annual sector surveys for all services to agreed timelines.
- Contribute to and support the preparation and submission of capital funding and other grant applications as required.
- Complete applications and reporting for additional targeted funding programmes outside of the Early Years Hive as required

Person Specification
Essential
- Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of documentation and data accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email systems.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving ability with a practical, solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Desirable
- Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with Early Years and School-Age funding programmes.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Hive portal.
- Previous experience in a compliance-related administrative role.
- Experience supporting external audits or inspections (e.g. Pobal).
- Skills & Competencies
- Ability to interpret and communicate funding scheme guidance to operational managers.
- Familiarity with application and reporting processes for funding or grant programmes.
- Prior involvement in completing annual sectoral surveys or compliance returns.
